Winding its way to the summit of Pike's Peak, the cog railway uses a special "cog wheel" to better ascend the steep grades along the way. The cog railway's home base is located just outside of Manitou Springs off Ruxton Avenue. Along the 8.9-mile route, riders will glimpse the beautiful Minnehaha Falls, and pass through the natural tunnel known as "Hell Gate."
